Re: Forum moderation policy?
So finally the Bitcoin forum got unlinked from bitcoin.org and it looks like it will be moved to a new domain. Here some of the dev discussion about it: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=CAJNQ0ssAgx%2BFS_LZmEDRXsdKpC4M5xaegJh4%2BvGv0Au%2BCmi6Dw%40mail.gmail.com&forum_name=bitc...

Namecoin in the news
In this thread we'll post links to articles that mention Namecoin. There's no restriction on the notability of sources but as a general rule try not to post stuff that nobody will care about. Commenting on the articles is allowed. http://techcrunch.com/2011/07/18/ruxum-wall-street-level-security-com...

Re: Difficulty has increased to 55882!
As Moa stated they both are connected to mining costs for the most part. BTC are a currency that can be used for thousands if not hundred of thousands of things over the internet and in person. Re: Selling Namecoins for BTC (Volume Pricing)
If you need the NMC quick then you'll probably have more luck buying from an exchange: https://exchange.bitparking.com/mainjago25_98 wrote:I'd like to buy just 0.3btc's worth for testing, PMs please

Re: Forum moderation policy?
First, we need to list all things we want and then sort them :p http://dot-bit.org/Forum_Reorganization Wrote a proposition. Criticism welcomed. Another issue is whether to allow discussion of things that may be illegal in some countries, like drugs, gambling, piracy or even porn. In my opinion if ...

So, don't be shy folks. Try it out and report bugs. Also, I'm done replying to myself. I'll update the top post on this thread with changes as they happen. Don't think your efforts are not appreciated, they are. Personally I just haven't tried this out because it looks a little too advanced for me.

Re: Merged mining block number
Agreed on 24,000. We still have a couple months to go so no pressure.
Btw, I made a thread about this on the Bitcoin forum but I don't really get how it works so any help in explaining things would be appreciated.

Re: ICANN Article
Yeah there was some discussion here: http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=153 My opinion is that we shouldn't worry too much about it. Firstly this is only for very established companies, orgs and institutions. You need to pay 185k upfront with no security that your application will be accep...
