I use meowbit.crosser wrote:I'd guess that the resolver that you are using does not handle this representation properly. Just a guess.
It can't resolve it.

Re: Forum was down for a few days?
Yes, it was down for a day or two because of the Heartbleed bug. Everything is fine now. ok, but I still can't seem to reach nf.bit. I never could. Why mention it when it doesn't work? (in notification emails that tell me that someone posted an answer to a thread, it often still posts the nf.bit li...

Re: create new extensions? .3D .1 and ccTLDs?
That doesn't make sense. One TLD is enough. The goal of bitdomains is to be internationally recognized as THE anti-censoring TLD. We don't need more TLDs... that would only increase the squatting problem we already have with Dot Bit. Also it would lower the "value" of bitdomains, much like altcoins ...

Re: Include Namecoin in the Bitcoin Core?
I think it would make much more sense if a plugin like meowbit (to view bitdomains) is integrated into the namecoin wallet. Those two things belong together, and I hope to see them merged sometime in the future. But merging Bitcoin and Namecoin? Thats like a marriage between siblings.... NOT a good ...

Re: "Know Sales"
yes this could be interesting.
But depending on the date the sale was made, 1 BTC could have meant very different amounts of money. 10$ or 1000$ who knows.
So what good is this list actually if it has no dates of the sales?

Re: OneName
As I see u/ is gaining popularity. Probably they have a good marketing. http://www.coindesk.com/onename-makes-bitcoin-payments-simple-facebook-sharing/ On the last call of Namecoin block explorer I see only u/ registrations and one i/ but not a single id/ or d/. Latest name_* operations [more] Bloc...

Re: U.S. aims to give up control over ICANN
- signature of the namespace/emitter in every name entry - higher fee for a namespace registration(for ex. 500x of a usual name entry fee as basis fee - actually 10 NMC, and for every name entry the usual 0.02 NMC) This would be also an efficient method to avoid registration of misleading namespace...
