Hey phelix, neither of the domains in your sig-line resolve. I was looking for more working domains to add to the list of working domains page on the MeowBit site, but I've tried several days and they don't bring up anything. Please send me a PM if you get them up and running and I'll add them to the list.

I think it's because when people google Namecoin the .org comes up before the .info.

Several people have, as a result, listed the .org as the official Namecoin site. Including the Namecoin page on Wikipedia, and several people who have done articles on Namecoin.

Pitbull has stated multiple times that he is willing to hand it over when there is a strong central community to do so. He has cooperated with every request made of him and our inability as an organization to get spam off of the domain or fix the SSL cert is the reason namecoin.info has such abysmal Google rankings.

The fact that it requires a crisis to get anything done on namecoin.info is the reason he hasn't handed it over.

So, I finally got around to posting the statement I circulated among the core devs (including Phelix and Khal). While I didn't get everyone's signature giving it an explicit endorsement, I never received an NAK. Please edit it if there are any errors on my part.

(The timing is honestly coincidental, I was planning on finishing up a few wiki related items this weekend and this was one of them).

They resolve fine for me with nmcontrol / FreeSpeechMe. Their JSON looks a bit off, though, with "map"ping "" (no key) to the IP. Not sure if that's actually following the spec or not.

Pitbull contacted me by PM and I just answered him. Hopefully we can find a solution soon.

OT: both nf.bit and nx.bit do resolve for me... though nf.bit only works properly with https:// when replying.
