OT: both nf.bit and nx.bit do resolve for me... though nf.bit only works properly with https:// when replying.
yeah, glad we saw this, we're working on adjusting MeowBit so it will resolve addresses with no IP address in the root, but in the map instead. Because others might set up their addresses like that. i.e.:
{"map": {"":"178.248.244.15"}}

by the way, don't know who to tell, but this forum is still sending out some notifications that go to dot-bit. Just got one from your reply that sent me to:

isn't the easiest and best option just to put a link at the top which says "Official Site" which goes to namecoin.info ? - but make it not look like it's a label for namecoin.org

so maybe Visit Official Site

I'm all for a link pointing to namecoin.info labeled "official site."

MWD wrote:Hey phelix, neither of the domains in your sig-line resolve. I was looking for more working domains to add to the list of working domains page on the MeowBit site, but I've tried several days and they don't bring up anything. Please send me a PM if you get them up and running and I'll add them to the list.
They resolve fine for me with nmcontrol / FreeSpeechMe. Their JSON looks a bit off, though, with "map"ping "" (no key) to the IP. Not sure if that's actually following the spec or not.

Glad I asked about this. We did a fix in MeowBit and it now resolves domains with improperly formatted JSON:

MeowBit version 0.5.5204.40235 is out now:
http://meowbit.com/meowbit-version-0-5- ... s-out-now/

Added those two domains to our list: http://meowbit.com/list-of-working-dot-bit-websites/

If anyone has any more for that list, lay 'em on me.

You can add domob.bit and (more importantly) nameid.bit/myid.bit/id.bit. I currently don't run others, but maybe in the future.

Those two aren't resolving on two different browsers. Are they working on your end right now?

Every site on this page is resolving for me:
http://meowbit.com/list-of-working-dot-bit-websites/

And I am able to view dot-bit, including those ones with improper JSON:
nx.bit - some namecoin stats
nf.bit - shortcut to this forum

Yes, they are. They use the relatively new "import" feature, though, which is implemented in NMControl and consequently works with FreeSpeechMe.

Do you have a link to the specs?

Are there other new specs or features (or planned specs or features for the not-too-distant future) that we need to look toward making them all work in MeowBit? That would be a lot easier than rolling out new revision after revision and then finding out, "Oops, missed one! Do it again!" lol.

thank you,
