Re: Problem With Exchange
If it's urgent you should try the namecoin irc channel. Doublec is on there right now. https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=namecoin&uio=d4 Good point, I didn't think of that. But luckily I just tried again and it worked just fine, so this thread can be deleted now. Not sure why it temporarily wa...

Problem With Exchange (Resolved)
In addition to posting in the thread about the BTC to Namecoin exchange, I've also decided to make a new post to get more attention, since this is an urgent matter. I'm trying to withdraw my BTC, but when I click "Approve", nothing happens. This has just worked fine previously, and is a serious issu...

Re: Reminder: NMC prices depend on BTC prices
Since BTC prices are falling, I've bought a whole bunch of NMC expecting them to rise. So when BTC starts rising again, that might be a good time to consider selling some. Thoughts? Looks like NMC going up when BTC goes down is holding true for now. Not so sure about the second part though. NMC are...

Reminder: NMC prices depend on BTC prices
In my opinion, looking at the difficulty ratio is not a good indicator of what price will be. When BTC prices go down, NMC prices should go up, which would then subsequently affect difficulty. Also, a simple difficulty ratio fails to take into account that supply of NMC is much less than the supply ...

Re: How Currencies Work 101
People voluntarily used Mt. Gox and Deepbit. They are not central authorities, just businesses. Central authority relies on keeping its power through coercive force and has no competition. Mt. Gox and Deepbit obviously do have competition and receive their funds through voluntary means. You describe...

Difficulty/Prices Rising
Looks like Namecoin difficulty is growing faster than Bitcoin difficulty, which is corresponding with a higher NMC price. Also, more users seem to be visiting the forum, meaning interest in the project might be increasing. Do you think Namecoin difficulty will eventually catch up with Bitcoin diffic...

Re: More Subforums?
Promotion will wait a finalized domain specification, at least. About trading discussion, marketplace, etc, what do you think ? A marketplace forum would allow people to advertise goods/services for which they will accept Namecoins. Even though Namecoins are not marketed as a tradable currency, the...

Re: Is the future: 1 NMC = $159.178?
Since it's linked to BTC, I think it'll catch on fairly easily. Difficulty is increasing rapidly, and the price is going up too.
