Re: Donation Address For Domain Namespace
Mhh - that means i can set a namecoin field together with the payment addy at let us say d/examplesite according to the id/ spec, open the latest wallet and just pay some NMC to d/examplesite as recipient without using the "raw" NMC addy ? Possible? Would be a great feature. It works already with "...

Re: Donation Address For Domain Namespace
Note that the current implementation doesn't rely on a "donation" field - it simply pays to the name's address. So paying to a d/ name should already work, IIRC. However, it may be desirable to set the target address manually - in which case I suggest the "bitcoin" (or "namecoin") field, similarly ...

Re: Donation Address For Domain Namespace
Sudoquai gave me the idea: a donation address in d/ Seems like a no brainer. What do you mean ? How should it work ? I think phelix means the possibility to pay directly to a .bit domain, if i understood it right now. Similar to payments directly to /id in the newest version of the wallet. This wou...

Re: Proposal: Domains should be regularly auctioned
That's an interesting point. I would like to add that, there is hard to contact some owners, because they didn't post any contact information. To bring the discussion to a point - domob mentioned that squatting domain names is not a problem. I agree to that - the real problem is that it's hard and ...

Re: Proposal: Domains should be regularly auctioned
Mightbemike, with all due respect, the idea that domain squatters provide any value at all (liquidity or otherwise) is utter bullshit. Its the same kind of bullshit that people who defend high frequency trading go on about. I searched to see whether others have come to the same conclusion and I'm n...

Re: Namecoin and Anonymity
You can make a statement with a long string of IFs and BUTs if you're careful to be precise and give details. I assume in this case Namecoin would be anonymous. It's even possible to say Namecoins are physical coins, which can be worn as a necklace and produced manually without the help of computer...
