Update: It seems to work now when I explicitly addnode my server (I removed its maxconnections restriction). I can download the blockchain just fine but stay at one connection. So possibly there are some problems with peer discovery. Also, it doesn't work with "--verify FULL --validate FULL" so far...

I've also activated the backup system of proxmox on all VM. I'll check the result in some days.

So namecoin.info is the new domain and will always be used instead of dot-bit.org? As http://dot-bit.org/forum/ redirects to http://forum.namecoin.info/ then I think all links should be updated to it. Like those in http://namecoin.info/ (eg. Forum link and others). I think I've mostly seen dot-bit....

Quick update so far: There seems to be also an "actual" main command-line tool (called libcoind) included, which is somewhat similar to the example file I linked in the OP but includes connecting to an RPC server or setting it up optionally, just like namecoind does (not sure what the example reall...

I'm also running on libdb5.1 and have no pb.
I would say that if you already have a blockchain from libdb 4.7, you'll need to redownload it if you change from libdb4.7 to libdb4.8 (or hight, I guess).
