Re: access .bit domain no problem, but how to access .bit-EM
So I got foxyproxy working and I can see *.bit domains in firefox. No Problem. Now I want to test if I can implement a *.bit email adress into Thunderbird. So I can recieve and send email. How can I accomplish that? Do email-programs have this functionality? Has anyone tried that yet? Do we have to...

Re: Namespace proposal: app/*
What an awesome idea ....With bitcoin/altcoin addresses included, the possibility of a global decentralized appstore becomes a possibility. Just send btc to the address, sign a message to one of the contact points with your btc key, and then the seller responds with activation instructions.

Re: GPG and OTR integration
BTW, so far I have written already three implementations of basic querying for name data: In Python (Bitmessage), Mozilla JavaScript (NameID addon) and now C with Glib. What do you think, would it make sense to copy out the code of all three and provide them in some kind of "namecoin communication ...

Well done. Just fyi it appears to work fine in main branch also (although haven't tested with nmcontrol yet).

Re: Improving the Wiki
The project main site with news and the forum will remain here so there is no fragmentation. A little bit redundancy, especially by wikis and tutorials is not bad. It could be also a kind of specialization. In the main wiki here could remain a comprehensive, more technical information source for de...

Re: Improving the Wiki
Maybe now is a good time to re-visit the bigger issue of a namecoin wiki proper. khal has been good enough to allow dot-bit project wiki to be used as proxy for namecoin wiki but namecoin really needs it own wiki where dot-bit is linked as a sub project. namecoin.info was the beginnings of that proj...

Re: reading the blockchain
so far as i have found from the source code, a message on the p2p network follows this format: |____| header |____________| message |____| length |____| checksum where the header is 0xFA,0xBF,0xB5,0xDA(or 0xf9,0xbe,0xb4,0xd9 i've seen both...i'm guessing the first is bitcoin the other is namecoin) ...

Re: Decide on a general procura field
I think "endorser" is the closest legally equivalent role ... since you are effectively transferring signing authority (proof of ownership) to a different signer (priv key). Though this is more precise it is also harder to understand, especially for non native English speakers. If there are no stro...

Re: [3 BTC Bounty] TLS Support for .bit Domains
New code pushed to GiHub; now HTTP GET requests for .bit domains will go through the Convergence proxy. This *should* allow use of HTTP/SOCKS proxies (including Tor) to access .bit domains. Note that I haven't tested for proxy/DNS leaks (anyone want to test for leaks?), so any use in mission-critic...
