Hello.
It seems that "register.dot-bit.org" is not scammer, but I didn't get any instruction after I paid 0.1btc for a domain I registered.
They said the registration process is manual.
But there is not even a notification after I sending the payment, and no answer to my questioning email.
I requested a .bit domain and paid but get no reply
Re: I requested a .bit domain and paid but get no reply
Can anybody know how to deal with this problem?
Does anyone take charge of domain registration?
Does anyone take charge of domain registration?

Due to the distributed nature of Namecoin it is difficult to say who is in chargeLilyreso wrote:Can anybody know how to deal with this problem?

Your problem is with this particular registrar. Try and contact Khal.

I would recommend just using Namecoin-Qt to register a name; it's only 0.02 NMC per domain and you don't have to trust a 3rd party to register it for you.Lilyreso wrote:Can anybody know how to deal with this problem?

Currently I've yet known anything about how to use Namecoin-Qt.biolizard89 wrote:I would recommend just using Namecoin-Qt to register a name; it's only 0.02 NMC per domain and you don't have to trust a 3rd party to register it for you.Lilyreso wrote:Can anybody know how to deal with this problem?

Also I don't know how the dot-bit register it for me? Will a 0.02NMC be given to me?
I trust the 3rd party because it's dot-bit.org.
Anyway, thank you! I will buy some NMC and figure out how to assemble the Namecoin-Qt.
Last question: if I register a domain, will others be able to register a exactly same one with another Namecoin?
Cheers,
Lily

The network disallows collisions, i.e. if you register a name, no one else can register the same name unless you allow yours to expire (36000 blocks without a renew operation).Lilyreso wrote:Currently I've yet known anything about how to use Namecoin-Qt.biolizard89 wrote:I would recommend just using Namecoin-Qt to register a name; it's only 0.02 NMC per domain and you don't have to trust a 3rd party to register it for you.Lilyreso wrote:Can anybody know how to deal with this problem?
