There's currently a discussion on the Tor-Talk mailing list about doing round-robin load balancing on .onion domains (with the general consensus being that it's very difficult right now). It occurs to me that the 2.0 .bit spec can be used for Tor and I2P domains, but for some reason the spec only allows round-robin balancing for IPv4 and IPv6. Is there any reason for this? Would there be any objection to permitting round-robin balancing for Tor and I2P domains like is supported for IPv4 and IPv6 domains?
Thanks.

Re: Round Robin for Tor/I2P .bit Domains?
Indeed, I see no reason why roundrobin support couldn't be added to Tor and i2p domains.
In the worst case, only one .onion will be used (at random, or the forst one, depending on what is possible with the used proxy), still providing a functioning domain.
I vote for this change :p
