hello, so i have just registered my first dot bit domain. but i cant resolve it. i am using the masterpool.eu proxy.
it says: Unable to determine IP address from host name
is it because in the json map i have used another domain name, which it should mirror, instead of an ip address?
what is the recommended mapping if a dot bit domain should mirror a dot com domain?
cant resolve my domain
Re: cant resolve my domain
Each "resolver" have its own support of the spec... And i don't know what is working and what is not for masterpool.
I guess you have used the "translate" keyword ?
- translate is for subdomains
- alias is for the current domain
If you wan't to mirror a full domain, use alias and translate.
It would be easier to test the masterpool support with the domain name :p
Otherwise, you can use "ns" if you can configure the domain.bit on your server/provider.
Or, the ip :p

Re: cant resolve my domain
EDIT: Ignore the rest. it seems example.bit is no longer available dot-bit.bit is still resolving.
MasterPool.eu is using the two known .bit resolvers. It seems they are both not working for .bit
@khal: One of them is yours. Could you have a look?

Re: cant resolve my domain
Would you mind telling your domainname? I'd like to check it.ehmdjii wrote:hello, so i have just registered my first dot bit domain. but i cant resolve it. i am using the masterpool.eu proxy.
